I'm dj and music producer. clubmusic, bassline, party.
Your schedule is looking pretty busy at the moment, including making an
appearance at Beats of Rage in Preston. What do you enjoy most touring?
I love meeting people in different coutries and cultures and giving them a great time in the club.
What do you make of the current British club scene? Any favourite places you've been / played at?
British clubmusic is pretty inspiring for me. I think you guys have a lot of talent here.
Who are your biggest influences?
That's
really hard to say. I listen to and enjoy music since I was born. Been
in love with almost every stye of music. It's wouldn't be fair to just
pick few names.
What projects are you working on right now?
Apart
from doing Malente solo releases ("I Like It" just out on Fool's Gold) I'm producing with a lot of different people at the moment. Teaming up
with Daniel Dexter as Malente & Dex on Exploited Records ("Gipsy
kings / Lions") with Lars Moston as Moston & Malente (to come on
Fidget kingdom) and with UK's Jay Robinson from Dub Frequency for a new
release on Southern Fried next year.

What are you looking forward to most in 2010? Do you have any major plans for world domination?
Just
putting out more quality productions. Yeah I really hope the UK pays a
bit more attention to my work as I tour a lot everywhere, but could be
playing more often in the UK I think.
You've played a few festivals over the years, which was the best one
you've played? Are there any festivals you'd recommend to our readers
to check out next year?
You guys should fly to Canada's
Shambhala Festival in the moontains between Vancouver and Calgary. No
corporate sponsors, great music, awesome crowd. Or come to Germany's
Fusion Festival close to Berlin and Rostock. It's a great vibe there
too.
If you were to put on your dream festival, who would you get to play and why?
I'd love to play Glastonbury. In fact I never had the chance to play a fetival out here in the UK. I would love to do that.
What tips would you give to up and coming DJ's and producers hoping to make it big?
You
should only do it if you love music and the production of music. Please
don't start because you wanna be famous and make it big or - even worse
- if you're after money.
Finally, a quick fire round, 5 questions...
