Music lovers in the South East can look forward to a very special performance this Summer as iconic reggae upstarts Madness will touch down at The Kent County Showground in Maidstone on Saturday 12th August.

The group, led by the irrepressible Suggs, were part of the country's famed two-tone scene that sprung from punk in the late 70s, before embracing a more commercial sound with devastating success that saw 15 singles in the UK top ten singles chart, most notably the number one record 'House of Fun'.

The group were one of the most well-loved and revered bands of the 80s, holding the record for most weeks spent on the charts with 214 between 1980-86 and capturing the feeling of the times. A brief reformation in 1992 saw them hit the spotlight once more, whilst Suggs slowly became a national treasure as the group's standing became more and more prominent as the years progressed - last year seeing the band deliver the hugely popular House of Common festival on Clapham Common.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 18th January
