Licensing problems force secretsundaze to relocate

London clubbing institution secretsundaze has revealed that, despite not being granted a licence for its planned bank holiday weekend party, it has found an alternative venue.

The club night was due to use the courtyard of Cable Street Studios for its party this weekend (May 4th), but said that it had a "plan b" in place.

As a result, the event will take place on the Courtyard and Terrace of Ministry of Sound venue in London.

Organisers explained: "Usually occupied by security, metal detectors and burger vans, we will be completely clearing the space, making way for a perfectly shaped al fresco party space.

"With its white washed walls and generous greenery along the exterior fence, the setting here definitely has a Balearic feel to it and we see it almost as our 'jewel in the crown' for summer 2008."

As there is another event taking place in the Ministry of Sound that day, secretsundaze has also been forced to alter its opening times. Now it will run from 1pm until 9pm, with an afterparty "two minutes walk around the corner" in the Coronet.

What's more, the team behind the Sunday raves assured punters that "the police and authorities have given us the verbal go-ahead" to host future parties at the courtyard of Cable Street Studios and said that the first would take place on May 25th.
