Legendary pop and jazz-funk combo Level 42 have announced that they are to play a series of headline shows across the UK during October.

After originally disbanding in 1994 - following huge success across Europe and the US - lead singer Mark King reformed the group in 2001 and have played a number of small tour dates since.

However, this autumn, Level 42 will kick off their tour on October 4th in Manchester - at the Opera House - and then play gigs in Liverpool, Birmingham, Sheffield and London, among others.

Level 42 have released 14 studio and seven live albums since forming in 1980 and sold more than 30 million records worldwide.

In other tour news, US hard rock band Avenged Sevenfold have announced they will headline London's ULU venue on the final night of the Kerrang! Awards Week of Rick on August 20th.
