Kimberley Walsh balanced by group

4th Sep 2010

Kimberley Walsh thinks Girls Aloud keep each other balanced.

The 28-year-old beauty admits the band - comprising herself, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle - thinks working as a solo artist is tougher than being in a group as there is not as much support.

may have had trouble in the fame game if they had gone into the music business solo.

She said: "We've still got that support network now, you know.

"I think that's why we've all stayed pretty balanced - because we've got each other. It must be hard doing it on your own."

Kimberley also admits she feels sorry for George Michael - who was recently found guilty of driving under the influence of drugs after driving his car into a photography shop - and hopes he sorts out his personal problems.

She said: "George Michael is a national treasure so to see him in court for crashing his car into a Snappy Snaps while he was affected by drugs was upsetting. Everybody loves him and wants him to do well so let's hope he sorts things out."
