Japan Rockers Lite Announce Uk/european Tour

11th Sep 2008

Bookmark and Share

Following on from successive tours in the UK, Europe and Ireland in 2006 and 2007 Japanese post rock/math rock band Lite announce a 2008 tour to promote their exceedingly good and well received album Phantasia (Transduction Records).

The album and the band attract obvious comparisons with Battles because of their technical ability and also with fellow countrymen Mono because they rely on instrumentals to engage their audience. Their recent Fuji Rock Festival appearance gave the band a major career boost and they now enjoy a world wide reputation.

See them at the Northern Quarter's Upper Space Gallery (Marlsbro House, Newton St) 14th October 2008 where Manchester's urban arts and mind collectives meet the best in art rock courtesy of Mind on Fire Collective and WotGodForgot Promotions. Support from Japan's 54-71 and the best local bands around.

Wow, Lite!

OK saw them last year. They are very good live. Not heard the album yet but seen a couple of reviews and it all sounds promising.
