If you weren't lucky enough to get your hands on tickets for a sold out event the first time around, it can be extremely frustrating trying to buy one at a later stage. Awkward sellers, a lack of protection and those exploitative touts can all make what should be an exciting process, an absolute nightmare.

As you might have noticed, we’ve been releasing new features to make ticketing smarter, and one of those features was our official face-value ticket exchange platform Re:Sell. Basically, if an event is sold out and you can no longer go, get in touch with us and we will try and sell the ticket on for you. If we do you'll get the face value of your purchase back, at no extra cost.

Although Re:Sell has been really useful for you guys, unless you're are consistently checking the event page, it’s easy to miss out on these extra tickets. Sometimes they start appearing on secondary ticketing outlets or are purchased by touts, others might not be purchased at all if they're not spotted in time.

Thanks to our brand new feature Waiting List, you don't have to worry about watching the page like a hawk. When an event sells out, we’ll automatically enable Waiting List, giving you the opportunity to add yourself in a queue for tickets. When additional tickets are released (either from the promoter, or via Re:Sell), we will reserve tickets for those on the waiting list on a first-come-first-served basis.

Those on the list will then get 15 minutes to claim the tickets allocated to them, via SMS, App Push and Email alerts. Tickets are then safely reserved in baskets. Any remaining tickets are released to the public.

All in all, the feature makes it fairer for true fans to get hold of the most in-demand tickets, with less stress and frustration. Waiting List is already enabled for all sold out events, go go go!
