I Predict an Atari Teenage Riot

10th Mar 2010

Not for the faint-hearted, German punk-rockers Atari Teenage Riot return to play their only upcoming UK gig at the Electric Ballroom in trendy Camden Town on Wednesday 12th May, and teenage or not, you need to be there.

The digital hardcore group, famous for living up to their name and whose live shows are often controversial, have reunited this year to play some special dates after a decade of obscurity, and this is your chance to see them play live thanks to Skiddle before they decide maybe to take another long break.

In the centre of Camden, the Electric Ballroom has already seen the likes of The Smiths, The Clash, The Killers and Macca in its time, although it's unlikely to forget the return of ATR if previous gigs at other venues are anything to go by.

Certainly fast and frenetic, sometimes a bit too energetic, ATR have never strayed from making headlines, whether being over zealous on stage, in trouble with the law or rocking to the extreme. Like the Pistols before them though, often this can mean only one thing a truly memorable live presence. Given that it's been almost ten years since any fresh output as a band though things are likely to be a bit more harmonious at least for a while.

With three studio albums to their name before the death of a band member and others pursuing solo projects, ATR decided to return to live gigs with an announcement earlier this year. Warming up with a show in Holland before heading to the UK, this might be your first and only chance to catch this unique band in live action.

And if you want to rock out like you were born in the eighties (especially if you owned an Atari) then take advantage of our discounted tickets which can be bought for just £18 in advance and get yourself ready for a riotously good gig.

No doubt you'll be either exhausted or exhilarated afterwards, but either way take advantage of our great deals on hotels nearby and get yourself a room for the night. We recommend the Holiday Inn Camden Lock only a short walk away and very comfortable.

Or you could try the Thistle Euston only a little stroll further or just a couple of stops on the tube. Or for a more affordable option, stay in the Britannia Hampstead nearby and round off a great night out.

Have a blast!
