One of house music's most influential and respected folk, Todd Terry makes his way to prime Liverpool venue, The Magnet on Saturday 15th November.
Having dealt in house music since its very beginning, Terry remains as one of the genres prime innovators. He led the house stakes in New York during the eighties, weaving together a sound influenced by Italo disco and Chicago house with flecks of hip house to culminate a reigning house sound that he would later move on to the UK.
Terry earned the nickname 'god' during the early nineties after his residency at club mecca Ministry Of Sound due to his musical dexterity when performing at the venue. Next up came his lauded imprint Freeze, the platform for the majority of Terry's productions he has since released, including his Unreleased Projects series that ran through till 1995.
In more modern times, from which you can catch him in the Mixmag lab above, Terry has continued to exert his prowess on the house scene, solidifying his 'Todd the God' status with everything from numerous high profile appearances, being nominated for Grammy awards, and manning his InHouse imprint from which he is sure to spin a smattering of belting tracks on the night, making this one to definitely get excited for.
