Gomez ready for Manchester gig

11th Jul 2008

Indie rockers Gomez are ready to play a series of concerts culminating in a performance at Manchester University in early September.

Before making it to Manchester, the band will be playing gigs in Sheffield, Newcastle, London and Birmingham.

Gomez have been producing albums consistently since their debut Bring It On won them the Mercury Music Prize ten years ago.

Commercial success of their work, including their most recent album How We Operate, released in 2006, has been mixed but they continue to come up with the goods in their live performances and they have an enthusiastic and dedicated fan base.

Among the groups most memorable tracks are We Haven't Turned Around, Get Myself Arrested, 78 Stone Wobble and the Manchester-inspired late '90s gem Whippin' Piccadilly.

Tickets to Gomez' latest British tour, which kicks off in Sheffield on August 28th and ends in Manchester, are still available.
