Global Yumyum Vibe Comes Walrus, Manchester

18th Jun 2009

Starting life in 2004 in Munich YUMYUM has grown to become one of the leading nights in Europe. YUMYUM is now hosting parties in such far flung places as Berlin, Shanghai, Philadelphia, Vienna, Moscow and Leicester, and now Manchester.   YUMYUM Manchester will be hosting monthly nights at Walrus Canteen and bar on High St in the bohemian Northern Quarter of Manchester.

Every first Friday of the month, Steve ‘ILL’ Kinevil and Robzilla will be down in the basement at Walrus joined each month with a whole host of guest DJs from the YUMYUM family around the world.

The YUMYUM brand design concept has become synonymous with fun colourful Japanese kitch objects; hence the perfect partnership with Walrus Canteen and Bar; with its colourful Manga-cartoon inspired walls and Japanese canteen food.

Walrus has created a special YUMYUM cocktail menu, including ‘Electric Town Tea’ – a cooler with lemon, pears & bubblegum fun, and ‘Kawaai Baby’ – vanilla rum, watermelon and pineapple to compliment the YUMYUM vibe.

YUM YUM parties are currently being held in 15 different cities all over the world and every month people in new cities are offering to start a YUMYUM night for their own town. YUM YUM’s selection of music does not care about genres, styles or trends. It is purely based on an overall feel good vibe.

The next YUMYUM night will be Friday 3rd July 09, 9pm till 2am. FREE entry.
