Giant Snow Slide Heads for Manchester!

New Snow Slide for Piccadilly Gardens

With less and less snow every year, do you miss that exhilarating rush of sliding downhill on a sledge? Maybe your children have never been able to enjoy that experience. If so, then the Piccadilly Snow Slide is especially for you!
A brand new 50m (165ft) snow slide is coming to Piccadilly Gardens and will help to bring that special Christmas magic to the Piccadilly area.

The open air slide - the first of its kind in the North West - at Piccadilly Gardens will be open every day (except Christmas Day) from 4 December until 4 January.

After climbing to the top of the 6.5m (21ft) high slide, you will sit in a large tyre and whizz down the slope on the artificial snow surface.

When you reach the bottom, you can amble through the fir trees surrounded by Christmas lights to enjoy a drink or snack in the alpine chalet. Of course, you could always just have another go!

This sounds a lot more fun than ice skating, so you can be sure to find someone from Skiddle on the slide at some point in the near future. We have a feeling that there might be more astroturf than snow involved, but it still sounds ace all the same. However if you are looking for something even more realistic, you could head for the Chill Factor, or even Scotland.

Each slide costs just £1.50 and there is no advance booking required.
