Friendly Fires to heat up Manchester

16th Jul 2008

Friendly Fires are to play two nights on October 1st and 2nd at Manchester's Ruby Lounge as part of a 12-date national tour.

The gigs in Manchester will come as the St Albans-based band promote their debut album, which is released at the start of September.

Famed for their unique brand of indie-pop mashed with disco, Friendly Fires have built up an ever-growing following across the UK and will also play gigs in London, Preston and Southampton.

Meanwhile, possible the greatest musical export from Southport - Gomez - are to celebrate a decade since their debut album with gigs in Sheffield, London and Birmingham, before finishing back in the north-west in at Manchester Academy 1.

The Bring It On tour reminisces about the album of the same name which won the coveted Mercury Music Prize in 1998.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18686377-ADNFCR
