Flip's 'Extremely Sorry' Skateboard Film Soundtrack BY Baron

15th Dec 2009

This is a brilliant collection of songs. It doesn't necessarily work together as an album but more of a collection of brilliantly written and produced songs. Baron has collaborated with the likes of Lemmy (Motorhead), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise) and even Snoop Dogg. Mostly rock based tunes but he goes through many styles, including electronica, latin, hip hop and in a couple of parts it sounds a bit brit pop to me.

'When Is Now' sounds a bit like something Massive attack would do and 'Scream My Name (Feat Jim Lindberg)' sounds as if it was ripped from the Prodigy songbook, which is wicked by me. 'Love Shroom' sounds like it could have come from a Super Furry Animals crossed with Blur album, that's my best description. I'm sorry! I absolutly love this. I'm going to check the film out! I recommend it to rock/metal/alt/electronica fans, or anyone with an ear for production. Some tracks are instrumental which might put some people off, but its a brilliant soundtrack! Stand out track: Desert Convoy.

5/5
