It's commonplace that we are set in our ways to attend the same festivals year on year without exploring what else is out there.

As the saying goes, if it's not broke don't fix it, but we know that there's plenty of hidden gems out there getting lost in the hustle and bustle of festival season that may just light up your summer.  

With the thousands on offer, we've picked out five that may have escaped your radar, both in the UK and abroad to provide you with some  holiday inspiration.  

Sea Dance Wednesday 15th - Saturday 18th July 

Located on a sun kissed beach in Montenegro, this Adriatic paradise offers the perfect retreat for lovers of electronic music. Featuring The Prodigy, Rudimental, Sigma and Wilkinson, the festival also hosts reggae, latino and silent disco stages over the four days.

Fell Foot Sound Friday 17th - Saturday 18th July 

Moving closer to home, Fell Foot Sound  takes place in enchanting woodland overlooking Lake Windermere. What's more is that there's only 200 tickets available, making it one of the most exclusive gatherings we currently offer. 

Iboga Summer Festival Thursday 23th - Saturday 25th July

Butefest Friday 17th - Sunday 19th July 

If it's an abundance of Celtic spirit you're after (see the Peatbog Faeries above), ButeFest located on the scenic Isle of, wait for it..Bute is the go to destination for that. For only 30 miles from Glasgow, you'd find it hard to comprehend the remoteness of the island, perfectly lending itself to the detachment from everyday life.

BL9 Weekender Saturday 13th - Sunday 14th June 

Cutting its teeth on the festival scene for the first time, BL9 Weekender brings together the sounds of pop and Madchester over two days with a hefty assortment of artists. If the Happy Mondays aren't enough to turn up for, the weekend also features Echo and The Bunnymen, Razorlight and Tinchy Stryder
