Elbow add Manchester date
11th Jul 2008
Elbow have announced their intention to play an extra show in Manchester later this year as part of their latest UK tour. The band have been firm favourites with soulful, guitar-based rock fans across the country for well over a decade and popular demand has obliged them to play an extra night at the Manchester Apollo.
Tickets for the Thursday October 29th date and the others that make up Elbow's upcoming UK tour are on sale now and the band can also be seen at the Latitude Festival later this month.
Founded in 1990 in a north Manchester suburb, Elbow have never been short of critical acclaim and their growing confidence helped their latest album, The Seldom Seen Kid, make it to number five in the UK charts.
Like their previous release, Leaders of the Free World, Elbow's most recent album was recorded at their own studio in Salford.
