Hitting cinemas from July 24th is a brand new film by Mia Hansen-Løve - Eden, based around the rise and fall of one of the DJs that pioneered the now legendary French touch scene, her brother Sven Løve. Watch the trailer below.
Filmed in Paris, London and Chicago, the move charts the journey of Parisian teenager Paul as he moves away from the underground dance music in Paris, in favour of the soulful rhythms of Chicago's garage house scene - creating the French touch scene in the process.
Alongside Paul, a similar couple of guys under the name Daft Punk join him in the journey, 'dropping out of daytime society to form a community based on the high of the ceaseless beats and bass.'
With a wicked soundtracks lined up too, this looks like a brilliant revisiting of one of dance music's golden eras, and an insight into the humble beginnings of arguably the world's most in demand electronic groups - Daft Punk, as well as how the lifestyle can take its toll on even the most gifted of DJs. We can't wait to see the full thing.
