Domino earns its spots at London's Underage

20th Jun 2008

A new stage at one of the most unique festivals on the music circuit has been set up to honour one of the most influential record labels of the past 15 years.

Domino Records turns 15 this year and will host a stage at the Underage Festival in Victoria Park, London, to celebrate.

Brazilian baile funk act Bonde Do Role will headline the stage in their first UK appearance this year, while they will be joined by Four Tet, Eugene McGuinness and Wild Beasts.

The Horrors, Gallows and Operator Please are among the acts confirmed for other stages.

Laurence Bell, from Domino Records, said: "Underage is by its very nature the coolest festival in existence right now. Domino was very flattered to be the only label invited to curate a stage.

"We must be doing something right. And we're not allowed to attend, which is even cooler."

Domino Records are responsible for the success of Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand and The Kills, among others.
