Following on from their recent run of singles ‘Skydive From Venus’, ‘Birth in Zero Gravity’, ‘Thanks For Coming’ and the soon to be released socially conscious funk-rock of ‘Rollin’ Papers & Bush’ singles, the Detroit Grand Pubahs hit back with their new studio album ‘Nuttin Butt Funk’.

To celebrate their return the Pubahs will be playing at the Notting Hill Arts club on Monday 29th September with a full live show featuring drums, percussion, bass and booty. As Paris the Black Fu limbers up into his Dr. Bootygrabber persona and the Mysterious Mr. O dons his butchers overalls, you know you’re in for a techno-funk-electro show with a difference.

On ‘Nuttin’ Butt Funk’ you can hear the Pubahs flexing their production muscle across wigged-out electro on cuts like ‘Earth Hoes’, ‘Dirty ‘Ole Man’ and ‘Butt Market’, straight up dancefloor techno on ’50,000 Legions’, ‘ChiTown Shuffle’ and ‘Message From Overkill’, strung out Detroit deepness as exemplified by the beautiful opener ‘Skydive From Venus’, the odd comedy interlude (‘Condom-Mints’ anyone?) and twisted funk-rock as highlighted by next single ‘Rollin’ Papers & Bush’.
