Back for the first time since 2006, Damian Lazarus is next to take on the Essential Mix at 4am on Saturday 16th May. 

Speaking ahead of the mix, the acclaimed selector said: "This mix is an insight into the rhythms of the universe that make us feel good, that make us want to dance, that makes us smile with each other and remind ourselves why we love this music."

Ahead of his mix, Pete Tong, B.Traits and Annie Mac will play three live performances from Damian Lazarus and The Ancient Moons (above), at 7pm on Radio 1. They were recorded last month during an exclusive Maida Vale session.
