Described as the biggest party of the year, and following rave reviews of Saturdays set list could Sunday live up to the hype…

12 noon, the campers are already filling the dance tents, whilst the day ticket holders are queuing in their 1000’s at times 100 >200 deep, security at the gates filter revellers through and at first what seemed like a nightmare soon turns in to festival bonding and we're in.

Where to go first; The main stage acts don’t start until 2.45.pm With seven tents to choose from and all bursting at the seems, each tent offers something different. There is something for everyone, and everyone we saw from couples taking in the atmosphere, groups of girls, groups of boys to Scooby Doo and The Smurfs.

Need a wee, 100’s of toilets, t-shirt over the nose job? Nope and there’s toilet roll, & that’s not all, hand sanitiser, however it does contain alcohol which could pose a problem if the drink runs out!

2009 and the main stage this year is in its own field, surrounded by the various bars and eateries, Mexican, Chinese, hot and cold baguettes & good old burger and chips.

Prompt, the main stage kicks off with the return of Dirty Vegas who, despite the howling wind and lack of tipsy ness, get the crowd warmed up.

Off the back of a number one album Calvin Harris has the crowd in the palm of his hand. Mr Harris does not disappoint mixing the relatively old with the brand new.

5.30pm, and 2manyjs put on an amazing Dj set, the now frantic crowd danced to their amazing anthems.

Pouring with rain and soaked through nothing could dampen the ever increasing crowd, all emerging from the darkness of the dance tents into the now very wet but clear night. Dizzee Rascal takes to the stage and knowing his latest single is at number one it shows in his performance. Joined by Calvin Harris for Dance Wiv’ Me’, the crowd erupts and to finish the set ‘Bonkers’ accompanied with lights, fireworks and confetti. Bordering on cocky the crowd lap it up and are left wanting more.

Basement Jaxx close the festival and in no better style. From the tunes we know and love to the much anticipated new material from their new album released in September.

After 11 hours of Electric, Pop, House, Dance music the atmosphere remains fun and those with the early onset of trench foot make their way home, leaving the campers to continue the party and eventually navigate the maze of tents, some settling on the nearest, driest, vacant tent they find.
A superb 2009, roll on 2010.
