The hip hop star who performs at this years Creamfields festival has flew into the charts and sold nearly double that of its nearest competitor Black Eyed Peas ‘Boom Boom Pow’.
The dancefloor smash hit ‘Bonkers’ was produced by dance DJ/Producer Armand Van Helden and will become Dizzee’s second No.1 single, following his Calvin Harris collaboration ‘Dance Wiv Me’. Over the last 12 months, the UK rapper has moved towards a more ‘electro’ sound, and commenting on how the track came about he told The Sun: "Armand just emailed me the track entirely out of the blue. I had it for ages before I did anything with it. I used to hate house music. I really hated pop, but I get it now. The new album is a definite move away from grime for me. I can't get any more hardcore than I was.
All of this is good news for dance fans, as he’s busy preparing for his Main Stage debut performance at this years Creamfields festival which takes place on August Bank Holiday Weekend and will see the Mercury Prize Award winner perform to one of the biggest ‘dance’ crowds in the UK, other acts at the event include Tiesto, Basement Jaxx, Paul van Dyk, Mylo Live, 2manydjs, David Guetta and fellow comrade Calvin Harris, this highly anticipated performance is set to be one of this year’s festival highlights.
