Clubbing to Matter at the O2

13th Aug 2008

New London super-club Matter is aiming to push the boundaries of British clubbing after launching its opening line-up.

Opening in September, Matter will take its place in the O2 complex in Greenwich - formally known as the Millennium Dome - and is being run by the team behind legendary venue Fabric.

The club's "live launch night" on September 19th includes sets from James Lavelle's UNKLE, Late Of The Pier and Iglu & Hartley, with a "club launch night" following a day later, with the likes of Carl Cox and scouse house master Yousef on the decks.

Six weeks of line ups have been released by the venue organisers who hope to take clubbing in the capital to a whole new level.

Speaking about the inclusion of UNKLE, Matter promotions manager Will Harold said: "We really felt they were the right kind of band, being quite forward thinking, their attitude to the show, their visual set-up; it reflects a lot of what we have planned for the venue."ADNFCR-1603-ID-18729299-ADNFCR
