Chasing Liz – Gravity Girl - Review

26th May 2009

Chasing Liz is much like a supergroup. The band is a collaboration of multi-talented musicians in their own capacity ultimately coming together to form a project with many dimensions.  Each member worked solo prior to the formation of Chasing Liz, and what results is a merging together of different styles that provides a sound capable of transcending genre. First single, and download only, “Gravity Girl” is good but just short of super. It has influences in hip hop and rock with a thumping drum beat and a guitar solo producing an experimental song that is undeniably catchy but not that sticky, making the track short lived and slightly unforgettable. It was good while it lasted though.
