Carr ready to show Sheffield new material

Jimmy Carr will be offering some new material when the comedian plays in Sheffield later this year.

The Channel 4 presenter and stand-up revealed details about his new show, titled Joke Technician.

He will be playing the Sheffield Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall stage on October 4th and October 5th.

"This show is exactly the same as last year's except every single word. It's rude, crude and offensive but those aren't the only reasons you'll enjoy it," the comedian explained.

Carr is due to play in Sheffield as part of the four-month tour will include performances in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.

In the past Jimmy Carr has won numerous awards for his stand-up, including British Comedy Awards Winner prize for best stand-up tour and the funniest man category at the 2005 LAFTA Awards.

As a presenter, he has hosted shows like Eight out of Ten Cats and Your Face or Mine.
