Camden Arts Centre’s summer programme of events includes conversations and talks with writers, critics, and artists, as well as open studios and special evening and weekend events.
•    An evening of live Transylvanian folk music in the Café and garden will accompany Johanna Billing’s new film, ‘I’m Lost Without Your Rhythm’, which involves amateur Romanian dancers and acting students.
•    This year’s Spiral Festival, a family weekend filled with art-related activities and events, is inspired by the practices of Johanna Billing, Alexandre da Cunha and public works.
•    For three weeks in July, artist Ann Stokes transforms the Artists’ Studio into an exhibition space for her ceramic objects, accompanied by an informal tour by writer Tanya Harrod.

Late opening every Wednesday means the Johanna Billing and Alexandre da Cunha exhibitions are open until 9pm along with talks and events. On this night only, the Café offers specials such as £2 beer and meze picnics to be enjoyed in the garden.

public works is an art and architecture collective consisting of architects Torange Khonsari and Andreas Land and artists Kathrin Böhm and Polly Brannan, who have been collaborating in different constellations since 1998. Throughout the summer, the group will be working with local people from the King’s Cross area to examine and document their experiences of living amongst this massive area of regeneration.

The evening marks the culmination of their off-site residency in King’s Cross. Meet the artists and find out more about their work.

Spiral Festival 09: Art/Festival/Activities
Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 August, 12.00-5.00pm
This year’s Spiral is inspired by the practices of Johanna Billing, Alexandre da Cunha and public works, and takes as its starting point the strange codes of conduct and everyday rituals that we often take for granted. During the weekend, visitors will be invited to recycle found objects into new artworks, navigate oddly familiar environments, and become involved with ceramics, for an experience unlike any other - both inside and out!

Exhibitions Tour: Bruce Haines
Sunday 13 September, 3.00-4.00pm
Exhibitions organiser Bruce Haines leads a tour of the exhibitions on the final day.
