Bruno Mars wants Arctic collaboration

3rd Sep 2010

Bruno Mars wants to collaborate with the Arctic Monkeys.

The US star - who made guest appearances on B.o.B's hit 'Nothin' on You' and Travis McCoy's 'Billionaire' - revealed he would like his next project to be a collaboration with the British rock band.

He explained: "I've been telling everyone I love the Arctic Monkeys. I'd love to just get in with them and see what happens."

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter admitted he thinks he has similar influences to the 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor' hitmakers, even though their tracks sound nothing alike.

He added to BBC Newsbeat: "I can just tell listening to their music, I feel like we have the same influences. I mean their music doesn't sound anything like mine, but I just love the aggression, and - what's the best word? The viciousness sometimes."

Bruno - who played his first ever UK gig at London's YoYo venue last night (02.09.10) - also announced his debut album 'Doo-Wops and Hooligans' is due for release in early 2011, while single 'Just The Way You Are' is out October 4.
