With Wickerman Festival vastly descending upon us, they've decided to throw in another incredible act to add to the already impressive line up on 25th and 26th July at the mass Dundrennan gathering.

Eccentric indie rockers British Sea Power hit up the Summerisle stage on the Saturday, amongst the likes of alt rock purveyors Del Amitri and fellow indie compatriots The Feeling, to make up a solid Saturday bill.

The Brighton collective are famed for their crazy on stage antics that accompany their epic guitar pop, twinned up with pulsing synth and intelligent percussion to create a sound that evades the overpopulated indie wastelands, and you can see what we mean below.

Their latest production to adjoin their decade long reign is 'Machineries of Joy' acclaimed for its ingenuity which further upheaved their status as a leading UK indie power, whilst their debut album 'The decline of British Sea Power' also prompted BBC Radio 6 listeners to pinpoint their hit 'Remember me' (below) as number nine in the top 100 tracks of all time, representing their heavyweight credentials.

Further adding to the packed out ranks on the Saturday are new additions to the Lowland Links tent, brass band Creeton Silver Band provide a blast from the past, with some local talent from Nicola Black and the festivals very own Acoustic manager who'll also take to the stage.

Adding some cultural offerings is Dumfries Cellist Alex McQuiston who will be backed by a troupe of international opera singers, and the dazzling Eletricat Samba who'll perform a Brazilian spectacular before taking to the crowds to crank up the festival atmosphere. Grab your tickets here
