Breakout West Breaks & D'n'B Weekender, originally planned for Pontins in Brean has been moved to Pontins Southport!!!
Due to extremely unfortunate circumstances that had arisen at Pontins Brean Sands, The Breakout West Breaks & Drum n' Bass Weekender has been moved to Pontins Southport.
The reason being that one of the venues at Brean was undergoing building work which would not have been finished in time for the event. This would mean that there would have been no Drum n' Bass Arena as there were no other venues on the site suitable enough to use.
The organisers of Breakout West had been locked in crisis meetings with Pontins management trying to sort a solution to this problem, they initially looked at the possibility of merging two venues together but this would have meant that some of the acts would not be able to appear so this was not be a viable option.
The decision was then made to move the event to a later weekend. Unfortunately Brean Sands is fully booked for the next 12 months so this again was not a viable option.
Almost at the brink of cancelling the event, they managed to secure a deal with the management at Pontins Southport to move the whole event there & are now pleased to announce that Breakout West will now be held at Pontins Southport on 7th &
8th March 2008.
Southport is famous for it's legendary Southport Dance Weekenders so the boys at Breakout West feel that this will be the ideal location for the Weekender. The venues are bigger than those at Brean, there is a greater site capacity & with the addition of two more arena's, this event will be a lot bigger & better than originally planned.
The Breakout West organisers & Pontins management would like to apologise to everyone who had planned to attend the event in December, this was not the situation they had anticipated being in so close to the event but would like to state that it was unavoidable & that they have done their utmost to ensure that the event still goes ahead.
Pontins are in the process of contacting all existing ticket holders to let them know & will be dealing with re-booking/refunds.
