In tandem with celebrating 20 years since their first transmission, Rinse have teamed up with iconic streetwear brand Boxfresh to showcase their current acts as well as providing a scope into their future for the first time ever at the Notting Hill Carnival on the Rough but Sweet Soundsystem spanning from Sunday 24th to Monday 25th August

What started out as a passion to share music amongst a group of friends has transpired into a fully fledged monster, from the early days transmitting innovative music on Pirate Radio through to the present day it has remained as one of the biggest influencers of youth culture since August 1994.

The event will be aired live on Rinse as part of a programme of celebrations that will run through till December, culminating in Rinse Late at Tate Britain. Also celebrating are Boxfresh who enter their 25th year of existence and in sync with their anniversary they will roll out 25 unique events in and around Europe in collaboration with an entity of contributors from fashion, music, art and street culture.

Headlining is pioneering vocalist Katy B who has reinvigorated mainstream urban music in recent years, embodying pirate radio culture and the surge of urban music which makes her a fitting act to front Rinse's festival stage.

In true Notting Hill spirit, she has revealed an unreleased reggae rooted track 'Little Red Light' (above) to get you in the mood for the carnival, whilst you can also check out her upcoming 'What Love Is Made Of' tour here if you can't make this one.

Drum and bass heavyweights Chase and Status also head the event, with some hip hop from Ms Dynamite, grime MC P Money, Jess Glynne and Route 94 flaunting his 'My Love' smash, some house from Breach, Bicep and Skream amongst many others ready to set the carnival alight.
