Bootleg Beatles @ NIA, Birmingham

12th Mar 2010

Beatlemania is set to hit Birmingham when the Bootleg Beatles play at the NIA on Tuesday 21st December. Book tickets now for Christmas in order to avoid disappointment as they are guaranteed to sell out fast!

The Bootleg Beatles have gained international recognition and are still going strong three decades after they formed and four decades after the original band split.

Said to be the first tribute band ever, the Bootleg Beatles have performed to many thousands over the years and continue to keep the spirit and magic of the Beatles sensational success alive.

Whether you grew up with the Beatles and are looking for a trip down memory lane, or if you are unlucky (or lucky!) enough to be too young to have witnessed the Beatlemania of the 60s, the classic, retro feel of the Bootleg Beatles performances will delight old and young audience members alike.

Expect to hear an extensive mix of songs, from early hits such as I wanna hold your hand and Do you want to know a secret, through Help, Penny Lane and All you need is love, all the way to later songs such as Lady Madonna, Hey Jude and Here comes the sun.

The Bootleg Beatles success has been phenomenal; the band have played Glastonbury, been on the cover of NME magazine and toured with Oasis. They gained further recognition when they appeared on news channels across the world performing on the rooftop of the Apple building in London to commemorate the original bands farewell gig 30 years ago to the day.

The gig is held at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) on King Edwards Road in Birmingham, it is conveniently situated in the citys centre with the bus station, train station and shops all within walking distance. There are also a number of pubs and restaurants very close to the venue. The NIA has a very large capacity and has become known as one of the UKs must play arenas for all major touring artists.

Tickets for this event can be purchased now through Skiddle at just £23.50 each. We recommend that you book a hotel for convenience at the same time that you book your tickets. There are a number of hotels situated within walking distance or very close by to the arena. We suggest you try Nite Nite, a reasonably priced hotel that is just a few minutes walk from the venue. The rooms at Nite Nite are compact and simplistic, yet with a modern design that includes 42 plasma screen televisions in each room. For a slightly more luxurious stay try the Hyatt Regency hotel which is also a few minutes walk from the venue and includes a number of guest facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

Dont forget to book now for Christmas to avoid disappointment!
