'Fantasy' is the brand new single from Bashy, set for release on 19th September 2010. This is the first cut from West London’s premiership MC’s highly anticipated second album.
Like Dizzee Rascal, Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder, the 25 year old British lyricist Bashy - aka Ashley Thomas - has become part of the new look British pop sphere.
This year Bashy has delivered stand-out performances at Glastonbury; solo in the dance tent and a highlight on the Gorillaz headline set with his monumental collaboration with Kano and the Lebanese National Orchestra for Oriental Arabic Music for the track White Flag.
He's currently on the UK Shine Shine tour with Chipmunk, and he’ll embark on a world-wide tour with Gorillaz later in the year.
Bashy will take centre stage in September with his first headline gig date in London at the Islington o2 Academy2.
'Fantasy', the big, uplifting, new single is produced by Devon The DJ and Afreex and lends a sample from the classic ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’ by Baby D.
The new album is scheduled for release in February 2011.
