Annie Mac presents took over the elegant KOKO venue on Saturday 6th Feb and it was immense! This was always going to be a special night as Annie Mac never fails to impress with the eclectic choice of support that she books for her nights. This particular one saw the likes of Jack Beats, Wiley, Riva Starr, Sub Focus and of course Annie Mac join ranks to give the London revellers a place to rave and misbehave for the evening (Not my words!).

The venue is situated in the centre of Camden, just a hop, skip and a jump away from Camden tube station. A perfect location for such a fab night which I'm guessing Annie Mac agrees as KOKO is the venue of choice for many of her previous and presumably future nights. KOKO is a nightclub with an opulent interior in a former theatre in Camden Town at the bottom of Camden High Street. It has hosted concerts for bands including Coldplay, Madonna, Prince, The Polyphonic Spree, My Chemical Romance, Paradise Lost, Queens of the Stone Age, The Cutaway and Babyshambles and has regular weekly club nights.

Considering it was a sell-out we still had plenty of room at the bar and got served as quick as you could say Gin 'n' Tonic. Exactly how it should be. We slowly made our way to the front of the packed audience to catch some of Wiley. The crowd were a bit stiff compared to my previous night out at Matter however it started to become more relaxed as the night went on. Possibly something to do with Annie Mac. She definitely connects with her audience which goes down very well. Her choice of songs were incredible and naturally some DnB was thrown into the mix to accommodate the final DJ of the night Sub Focus.

Sub Focus was the highlight of the night. Already an admirer of his music his set was faultless and every song made you cheer and dance more and more. His one hour set was the perfect ending and the crowd were going wild for it. Annie came on stage to thank everyone for turning out and for making it a special night. That's what I like to see, a DJ making it more of a family affair and appreciating the turn out.

I would recommend everyone to check out the Annie Mac Presents events which will take place in Bournemouth, Liverpool, Huddersfield, Manchester and Jersey in the next couple of months. My ticket for the Warehouse Project has already been bought! See you on the dancefloor!
