New Manchester Club Gets Ready for Lift-Off

Today brings great news for Manchester dance music lovers as new club, AREA51 announces it will open its doors on Friday 1st February with a huge weekend of parties hosted by clubbing giants, Kissdafunk and Cr2 Records.
It follows weeks of speculation that the venue formerly known as Emporia had been sold to new owners. The rumours were true and after a complete new refit, new ideas and a fresh brand identity, it will reopen as AREA51; specialising in putting on the very best in house, electro, techno and minimal nights with a huge Funktion 1 sound system that will blow you away.
Tony Ratcliffe asserts, "We have strived really hard to create a unique space bringing exclusive events artists to an astute music audience, and to that extent we have great pleasure in announcing a first for Manchester. Area51 have been granted a late club license for every Saturday night, so you can enjoy your music experience until 9am Sunday morning!
Koochi - the people that brought to you unforgettable 2007 events such as Eric Morillo at the Reebok and Axwell at San Marino, have succumbed to huge popular demand to bring to you a venue that encapsulates the whole ethos of the Koochi brand - AREA51, Manchester.
Situated at the intersection of Deansgate and Whitworth Street, the location formerly known as Emporia, will host modern giants on Friday nights such as Kissdafunk, Bitch, Sex Toy and Filth on monthly rotation. Saturday nights will be completely distinctive in style and format from any other night in Manchester, playing cutting edge music at times to suit a modern audience.
Over the next few months AREA51 will evolve into one of Manchester's best clubs. With big line ups, new promotions and new décor attracting an up for it party crowd, 2008 is going to be the year AREA51 lands on the UK clubbing map.
