What was the experience of being signed so young? - it sounds beyond exciting! Did you always 'know' that you'd be in music?
Definitely exciting, much more than college! (Laughs). In hindsight, I probably could have waited as it's important to be a teenager and have fun too but I feel blessed to have been signed at any age.

How did that all come together? I read that you recorded a demo, and quickly got scouted. Did it all come very quickly or do you feel that you were 'plugging away' at the industry for a while?
It did happen overnight, but from that moment on it was hard work and continues to be.

How did you find working with Chase & Status, and Maverick Sabre?
It's always nice working with people that you respect. I learnt a lot working with C&S and Maverick is my good friend, so working with him was so much fun.

What's on your mp3 player at the moment? And where do you draw inspiration for your sound and your image?
I love listening to hip hop, I think I was a rapper in a former life! Re my image - well life really, my look depends how I feel on the day. Today I'm wearing Les Chiffonier as I'm at the Brits nominations.

If someone gave you a £1 billion to do whatever you liked with, and nobody would ever know what you spent it on, what'd you do?
I could not even begin to spend that much money... that amount is huge. I'd like to try and spend that. When you have that much money you do have a responsibility not to be crazy with it.

If coffee and beer got into a fistfight, who would win?
Beer... it has Dutch courage!

What about a ham sandwich and a mince pie?
Mince pie...

Or a very small potato and the cast of Glee?
I have never seen a potato fight

When is the time you have been most bored in your entire life?
Currently LOL! Not true, I'm actually being entertained by a potato and the cast of Glee, they seem to be fighting…

Which genre of music is least likely to get a musician a boyfriend/girlfriend?
One man band... very anti-social

If someone gave you a live hand grenade (pin detached - it could go off at any time) - what would you do?
Give it back!

If you could be a tight friend with any cartoon character, who'd you pick and why?
Jessica Rabbit - she has great style and I could borrow her dresses

Is 'swag' a real word?
Of course!
