Here is a band you just can't pigeonhole, for their music seems to drift across almost every genre of American roots and popular music. While it's rockabilly it's also western swing, old style country, jazz, blues, ragtime, old school rock and hints of punk and rock. Keith Clark, Maverick Magazine (UK)

Petunia never stops. That's just it. He's a man on a mission, and whether solo or with The Vipers in full band splendor, audiences never leave a Petunia show feeling anything less than gobsmacked, happily sharing their testimony. He's just been declared a favorite by each of the BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario festivals Petunia & The Vipers were on the bill for this summer, and one audience member recently described him as Hank Williams on acid.

The remainder of the summer will see the band returning to the Pacific Northwest, Petunia going solo across eastern Canada, and then another full band run through Canadas west before returning home.

In 2013 Petunia chalked up a Celtic Connections showcase & UK tour, and Folk Alliance showcase in Toronto with the band, a solo tour of western Canada, band tour down the US west coast, this summer's festival tour, and somewhere in there managed 3 feverish nights of tracking alt-country twang, rock n roll, eastern flavors, romance, the strange, and even a few never-heard numbers, for an exciting new record to be released next year. It's chock full of heavy-hitting players, and promises to be even more awesome than its critically acclaimed predecessor.
