My Morning Jacket announce UK tour dates

17th Apr 2008

Fans of reverb-heavy tunes wondering what's on this summer will be pleased to learn that US rockers My Morning Jacket have revealed details about their upcoming European tour.

The band, who are set to release their fifth studio album, Evil Urges, in June, will be playing a number of UK gigs as part of the tour, as well as making some festival appearances.

My Morning Jacket's tour begins on June 12th with a performance at the US festival Bonnaroo. After several more gigs in North America, they are scheduled to jet across the Pond to play Sheffield on June 25th.

After that, the band are scheduled to perform in Bristol (June 26th), Manchester (June 27th), Nottingham (July 11th) and London (July 15th).

They will also be popping up at Glastonbury festival, as well as at the Hop Farm event in Kent on July 6th.

My Morning Jacket formed in 1998. It is believed their name came from a lost coat lead singer Jim James uncovered while searching through the remains of his favourite bar after it burned down.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18555690-ADNFCR
