Illness forces Digitalism to cancel UK tour

18th Apr 2008

German electro outfit Digitalism have been forced to cancel a number of UK gigs because one of their members has become seriously ill.

An announcement on the duo's MySpace page explained that Isi had a "serious illness" which meant the pair would be forced to cancel their UK tour.

The band added: "He needs the rest to recover but we will be touring again from May 3rd in Murcia and try to be back in the UK soon."

They added that they were "really sorry" for their UK fans.

The affected UK gigs include shows in Newcastle, Sheffield, Bournemouth, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester and London.

Fans should still be able to see Digitalism perform at the Gatecrasher Summer Sound System event at the end of May and also at the Reading and Leeds festival in August.

Digitalism's album, Idealism, was one of the standout electronic records of 2007. They have released four singles and remixed tracks for people like Tiga, The Presets, Klaxons, Daft Punk, Cut Copy and White Stripes.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18557632-ADNFCR
