Man of the moment, Daniel Avery hits up Sheffield's Freshers week (check out our Sheffield fresher's guide) in the basement of Night Kitchen on Friday 3rd October

A trip to Ibiza in his teens gripped Avery, who from then on started producing house and techno, eventually leading to opening slots at London hotspot Fabric. He went on to collaborate with the likes of Justin Robertson and rework tracks for Little Boots and Metronomy amongst others under the moniker Stopmakingme.

Since reverting to his birth name, Avery has mixed Fabric's 66th live series, as well as releasing music on lauded imprints Optimo, Throne of Blood and Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound - the label he released his revered Drone Logic LP with (below).

The album reverberates Avery's signature raw cosmic sound, laced with elements of the unknown that are designed to delight and entrance the onlooking dance floor.

If you're familiar with Avery you'll be no doubt looking forward to experiencing one of his trademark journeys through intergalactic techno that lends itself to a pretty indescribable but mind-blowing experience. Do not miss this one. Grab your tickets here.
