Electronic taste makers Mount Kimbie head up a line up curated for creative minds, bringing together a grouping of innovative beatsmiths to the Steel City Circus at Hope Works on Saturday 1st November.

Putting the myriad of electronic leanings aside, the night brings together like minded people via exhibiting live art on the night and performing circus acts enhanced by accompanying eye-catching visuals for the Halloween extravaganza.

Serving up a DJ set are the previously mentioned Mount Kimbie. Engineered by students Dominic Maker and Kai Campos whilst attending University, their forward thinking approach led to the release of the debut EP Maybes on the revered Hotflush recordings imprint.

Since then they've continued to push genre boundaries culminating in a post dubstep, later bass music and experimental rooted resonance that's led to a string of releases including their latest long player Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, an album that took a more vocally charged approach featuring the likes of King Krule (get a flavour for that below).

Carving out a unique presence in the underground free for all is Mancunian innovator Werkha.  Lending from a plethora of genres that vary from afrobeat through to house, his sound is delivered through a live show that allows him to remain an unknown quantity to an extent in a live space, earning him support from the likes of Gilles Peterson

Wrapping up the newfangled proceedings, Will Ward, recently signed to Audio Doughnuts, has been making waves on the London scene with his unique take on techno, whilst Tuesday Born exerts his love of Ghanian culture through his eclectic intercontinental fusion of sounds. Grab your tickets here
