As one of the longest serving, most respected, and downright influential members of British dance music, Norman Jay is rightly regarded as a national treasure as he continues to promote the same ideals he started out with back in the early eighties.

Refusing to be pigeonholed with a movement or genre, the illustrious DJ and label owner continues to showcase an uncompromising attitude with his live performances and radio shows, purveying the finest genre spanning selections that repeatedly assert him as one of the scene's true trailblazers.

The Notting Hill based legend and only DJ to be awarded the MBE will be hitting on of our favourite Manchester venues on May 25th - Twenty Twenty Two, armed with his notoriously eclectic selection of rare groove, soul, funk, jazz funk and house.

Anyone that has caught his Good Times Sound System at the Notting Hill Carnival will know exactly what to expect - a heady selection of joyous beats, grooving basslines and disco inspired bombs, mixed together as much skill and charisma as you're likely to witness. Just have a listen to his rip roaring carnivalesque mix at Subterranea Club (above) to see what's in store.

Manchester based Warehouse Project resident Will Tramp! joins him for another unmissable outing from Twenty Twenty Two. Head here to bag your Norman Jay tickets.
