The Twilight Sad set for Manchester gig

13th May 2008

Up-and-coming band The Twilight Sad have revealed they will be playing a gig in Manchester to promote their new mini album.

The Scottish band said they would be playing the Night and Day venue in Manchester to promote their record, which will be titled Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did.

Taking place on June 16th, the Manchester gig is part of a small tour which will see the band also perform in London, Edinburgh and Nottingham.

The Twilight Sad released their debut album, Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters, last year. It received critical praise and was lauded by magazine like Planet Sound and The Skinny as the best album of 2007.

Pitchfork praised the "vividness of the lyrical themes" that the band address in their songs and added: "The Twilight Sad approach the darker side of growing up with consideration and dignity, and manage to maintain a proper perspective."ADNFCR-1603-ID-18590797-ADNFCR
