This will be the last stop off on Animal Collective's brief four date UK sojourn, with other gigs scheduled for London, Dublin and Glasgow. The UK dates will form part of a world tour to promote the band's forthcoming album Centipede Hz, due for release in September.

This will be the first new material from the psychadelic Baltimore collective since their 2010 visual release ODDSAC, and as the band's only show in the north of England, tickets are going to be in demand.

Never seen Animal Collective live before? We'll let the guys themselves explain what to expect:

"Don't be surprised if you come to see us and it's not what you thought it would be, and try not to get too upset. AC continues to make music after seven years, six studio records and one live record, that combines a love of sonic free form electronic horror gospel hip hop soul pop madness and brings it all together into something that is (hopefully) at times totally pleasing and at others completely scary and confusing but most importantly is refreshing in this crazy, crazy world."

Tickets for Animal Collective at The Warehouse Project are available now for £18.50 through Skiddle.
