Luxury Sheffield hotel set to reopen after refurbishment

8th May 2008

One of the best hotels in Sheffield is set to reopen after a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The Best Western Mosborough Hall is located less than ten miles from the city centre in Sheffield and will attract both leisure and business travellers when it reopens later this week.

To mark the event, the owners have convinced former director general of the BBC, Greg Dyke, to attend the opening.

General manager Ian Torpey commented: "The team and I are all very excited about opening this fantastic, luxurious hotel. We are also very privileged to be joined by one of the most influential British journalists, Greg Dyke."

A £4 million refurbishment has transformed the 16th Century manor house into a luxury hotel, complete with 42 bedrooms. Each one has been designed with a contemporary slant.

The hotel's restaurant is also hoping to establish a reputation. Headed up by Marcus Hall, formerly of the renowned restaurant Drunken Duck, the Brasserie hopes to become one of the best restaurants in Sheffield in the near future.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18584234-ADNFCR
