Disco's widespread resurgence has resulted in an abundance of new events cropping up in the UK's major cities, and line ups are topped by DJs who are keen to reinvent the genre for a newer audience.
Disco Glitter Love is the newest edition to Liverpool's thriving music scene, offering sets from groove dons Horse Meat Disco and edit maestro The Revenge for their launch event on Friday 13th February.
Horse Meat Disco have been dishing out disco beats for over a decade, the four-piece's approach to partying isn't effected by the constantly evolving dance scene because they rely heavily on timeless disco sounds.
Their sets are a funky journey through boogie classics, enabling the selectors to bounce between the genre that proudly accommodates a third of their name alongside italo house, cosmic funk and occasionally techno - check their classic Boiler Room above as evidence of where they sit.
The re-emergence of disco has done so with a parralell surge of the edit. Some artists have got revamping classic tracks down to a tee, The Revenge being one of them. Although he has a deep understanding and love of music from the past, he's a dab hand at adding a little something extra to make it suitable for current dancefloors.
Support comes from Liverpool love gods Autocycle (behind this previous Skiddle mix), Mr Paul and Hold It Down.
