Leeds Gatecrasher club set for major refurbishment

One of the UK's most respected clubbing brands, Gatecrasher, has confirmed that it plans to completely revamp its Leeds nightclub.Its Leeds club, which has a capacity of 1,200, will be renamed Gatecrasher Seven and a £500,000 refurbishment will improve the venue, with both floors of the venue altered.
The downstairs room will be fully overhauled and branded as BED. As well as being part of the venue, BED will be utilised as a self-contained 400 capacity venue with a separate entrance, toilets and DJ booths.
Set to reopen on April 19th, the coming months will see acts like Danny Rampling, Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood, Daniele Davoli, K-Klass, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead play at the new Gatecrasher.
Simon Raine, Gatecrasher's founder, commented: "The very essence of club culture and nightclubs means that they constantly need to evolve in terms of design, aesthetics and allure.
"With Gatecrasher Seven we aim to refresh the club very much in keeping with the Gatecrasher ethic and style of the ultimate clubbing experience; stunning environments, great service and a music policy in sync with the trends and fashions of the moment."
The clubbing brand is also hard at work preparing for its Gatecrasher Summer Sound System party. Acts already confirmed to play at the May bank holiday event include The Chemical Brothers, Dizzee Rascal, Paul Van Dyke and 808 State.
