Last Shadow Puppets added to festival line up

Indie fans wondering what's on in August will be happy to learn that The Last Shadow Puppets have been added to the line up of the Reading and Leeds festival.

The band, who recently topped the UK album charts with The Age Of The Understatement, will be playing the NME/Radio One Stage.

They are due to headline Leeds on August 22nd and Reading on August 24th.

Organisers revealed that the group would be sharing headline duty on the state with The Cribs.

Formed by Artic Monkey Alex Turner and The Rascals member Miles Kane, The Last Shadow Puppets are yet to reveal any other live performances.

As a result, the gigs at the festival will the first time fans will get to see the band perform live.

Other acts headlining Reading and Leeds include Rage Against the Machine, The Killers, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age and Bloc Party.
