With all the political goings on at the moment in Scotland, these are definitely times of uncertainty for people north, and south of the border. The rave stakes however pose a slightly different dilemma with the incoming launch of Nightvision - a series of events wedged with club behemoths that'll leave you seriously spoiled for choice.

In honourable fashion, we've got our hands dirty by selecting this weeks Nightvision-themed Five For The Funk, mustering up our list of must see's from their tasty programme.

Nina Kraviz, Opening Weekend Part 2 Saturday 20th December

Being one part of Richie Hawtins' ENTER. contingent, Kraviz is clearly not one to be missed. Her unique persona, that can be often caught at notorious hang outs like Berghain and Space (amongst others) is bolstered by the fact that she sings on, and produces her own tracks. She never shies away from playing straight up vinyl too, all qualities that speak volumes of her affinity with dance music.

Expect to be amped up by the Siberian beauty and immersed in dark shades of rolling techno, well demonstrated in her lauded Boiler Room set above. Grab your tickets here.

Huxley Saturday 11th October

You never know quite what you're going to get with Huxley, from bass laden garage influenced groovers to more housier vocal threads that have cropped up in more recent times. It's this musical versatility that puts him on the map, and even more so the fact that he hits the nail on the head every single time.

Whatever avenue Huxley pursues, his production cornerstone remains his undeniable gift for belting basslines (suitably demonstrated in 'Callin' from his recent The Machine EP above), primed to tear apart whatever venue he finds himself in. Tickets available here.

Bicep Friday 24th October

If you're not yet acquainted with Northern Irish tastemakers, Bicep, the analogue obsessed duo have made a habit of serving up the chunkiest offerings of disco, house, techno and everything in between.

Their retro vibe lends itself to the matter that the pairing avoid genre constraints, instead rolling back the times, resurrecting nineties production techniques too create a vibe that has became increasingly synonymous with the duo. Get a flavour for the elite selectors from their recent production of 'Lyk Lyk' - a track that draws upon both Italo disco and garage in a unique, floor focused manner. Get your tickets here.

KiNK and Neville Watson live Saturday 29th November

It has become very much a tale of two long lost lovers for these talented producers - after meeting via MySpace it soon became apparent that their musical tastes were a match made in heaven.

The stars aligned in 2010 when they finally met in person. Choosing to continue in the studio, the duo have become a musical machine producing and reworking tracks in sublime fashion, as well as crafting their musical wizardry on a live show with an arsenal of controllers (see some of that above) - forging a special connection with the musical purists. Bag your tickets here.

Annie Mac Saturday 22nd November

For what will be her first appearance in Scotland this year, Radio One's prime beat selector makes an essential stop off at Edinburgh's Corn Exchange on November 22nd

It would be a crime to describe Annie Mac as anything less than one of the leading tastemakers for today's dance music generation. Her undoubted ability to mine gems from the bottomless dance music quarry and give them maximum exposure remains unrivalled.

With the iconic status that Annie Mac commands, whether it's in Ibiza (above) or heading up her show stopping 'Annie Mac Presents', the industry figurehead always attracts a rowdy crowd of up for it rave fiends, who can't get enough of her genre spanning, party primed dance music. Get your tickets here.
