It's with a heavy heart that Tangled announce their last ever party, taking place at Sound Control on the 6th September. It's been an incredible 21 years of spot on party starting from the tireless Manchester night, which has in its career been adorned by some of the biggest names in underground dance music.

To celebrate everything that has made Tangled great, the last big push sees them welcome back some of their favourite artists and DJs to make this a truly legendary send off.

Taking over Room one will be a welcome return from ex Underworld don and fast and furious house music veteran Darren Emerson. Having produced some of the most seminal pieces of electronic dance music in his stellar career, Emerson continues to be in high demand across the world.

His dynamic contributions to the Global underground mix series rank among the finest of that iconic series, showing off his energetic and expansive sensibilities that he continuities to purvey in his sets and productions (listen to his latest work 'Vamos' above). Terry Pointon and DJ Rascal round off the heavy hitting main room.

Room two really gets the nostalgia pumping, with a second set from Tangled residents Terry Pointon and DJ Rascal, who will be joined by fellow Manchester trance heads Majefa to celebrate the halcyon days of Tangled. Expect a rip-roaring selection of banging Tangled favourites, capped off with a pure trance classics set by Akira Kayosa to bring things to a misty-eyed close.

Welsh breaksperts Hybrid head up the third room with a set comprised from their critically revered Wide Angle LP.

With the album being drenched in nu skool breaks, guitars, horn sections, scratching, Lithuanian nose flutes (yes, really), the vocal skills of Julee Cruise, and of course the heart wrenching strings from the Russian Federal Orchestra, Hybrid successfully created one of dance music's unique visions, a comprehensive work that is rightly regarded as an all time classic. Hearing it through Sound Control's meaty sound system is an absolute must.

Dub Pistols join them in what must be Tangled's most audacious rave up yet - a pure unbridled celebration of their last 21 years of clubbing might. Celebrate the end of a sublime era by grabbing your Tangled tickets here.
