Brian Jonestown Massacre confirm UK summer tour

11th Apr 2008

US rock band Brian Jonestown Massacre have confirmed they are to play a series of gigs in the UK over the summer.

The band, which was formed in the early 1990s by Anton Newcombe, has had its fair share of trouble and it is thought that around 40 different band members have featured in the group over the course of its history.

After the release of the documentary Dig!, which charted the progress of the band against the success of The Dandy Warhols, the Brian Jonestown Massacre enjoyed something of a revival and had a number of successful tours.

Now, the band have confirmed a nine-gig tour of the UK which starts in Oxford on June 29th. Between then and July 16th, the group will play in Stoke, Manchester, Northampton, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Barrow-In-Furness and London.

Anton Newcombe's band will also be making appearances at a number of summer festivals, including Glastonbury in the UK and Benicassim is Spain.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18548169-ADNFCR
